Term 2

Sea monster(1)
Music sessions

In term 2, we have been learning our phonics and remembering to use Fred Fingers for spelling and Fred Talk for reading new words.

We have read a brilliant book called ‘How to Find Gold’ by Viviane Schwartz, which has given us lots of ideas. We have made our own treasure maps, wrote instructions on how to find gold and even designed our own sea monsters!

We have also had a very musical term! We have enjoyed learning our songs for the Christmas church service and learning the actions. A visitor called Mrs Young came into class every week and taught us about pitch through new songs and using different instruments. She will be returning after Christmas and we can’t wait to see what she will teach us next.

And of course, we have done lots of Christmas activities! Lots of us attended the Christmas Fayre and our grown-ups loved watching the church service. We also had a lovely time watching ‘Sammy the Sheep Saves Christmas’ at the theatre and had Santa visit us for Christmas lunch!

We are now looking forward to our Christmas celebrations at home with our families. See you in Term 3!
