Term 3

The Great Fire of London

This term we travelled back in time to London in 1666 to learn about The Great Fire of London.  We discovered that one of the reasons we know what happened was due to a man called Samuel Pepys who wrote about the fire in his diary.  We pretended to be journalists and wrote newspaper articles about the event.

In maths, we have been learning about mass and length. We are continuing to learn how to work out addition and subtraction using column methods.

Please look at our Topic Web to see what else we have been doing this term.

What else happened this Term?

Thank you to all the parents and carers who came in to watch our class assembly this term.  We enjoyed showing everyone what we have been learning about this term.

We have started learning new songs for our Musical Festival at Central Theatre in March.  We are looking forward to performing again.

We also enjoyed celebrating winter with a Wonderland lunch prepared by our special cook, Donna.
