Attendance

It is very important that your child attends school regularly and arrives between 8:30-8:55 am. Registers are marked on arrival and sent to the office for dinner numbers to be notified.  Therefore if your child is late, please let the School Office know as soon as possible so that the necessary adjustment can be made.

We offer a breakfast club from 8:15.  This is a free service to families receiving Pupil Premium funding.  Please enquire at the School Office if you require more information.

It is also important that you meet your child every day( or if you arrange an alternative, let your class teacher know the name of the alternative adult meeting your child) promptly at 3.15 p.m.

If your child is absent for any reason, it is necessary to write a letter notifying us of the reason.  A telephone call is not enough as letters are kept on file.  All unauthorised absences, (those not covered by a letter) have to be marked in the register and calculated and reported at the end of the year.  This is now a legal requirement.

You will receive a letter in the case of unreported absences or persistent lateness, and our Attendance Advisory Practitioner visits regularly to check the registers.

Tag and Treat Attendance party is now an attendance party. Children will be informed on the second to last week of term on a Friday during Worship that they have achieved high attendance (at national or above).

Children with 96% attendance due to 1 day absence will be entitled to attend the party as long as it is an approved absence(doctors letter or other).

Children with on going medical conplaints/significant illness cases will be exempt and at the Headteachers discretion.

Therefore attendance must be 96% or above as we ever strive to raise attendance at our school.
